CUTTING OFF THE EAR

THANK YOU FATHER.

Before the LORD Jesus was arrested prior to His crucifixion He was pointed out by Judas. Judas the one who plotted with the religious group who was offended at Jesus.
This religious cult promised 30 pieces of silver paid Judas to sell the LORD out for personal gain.

The LORD knew of their goal and had even spoken of this soon to come event with his students prior to it's coming to pass.
Judas approached The LORD as agreed and kissed The LORD as an identifying sign to His jailers.

Wow.
Flattery and a dragnet, nothing new under the sun.

The LORD asked, "Who are you looking for?" those who would take Him answered, "Jesus of Nazareth."
The LORD said, "I Am He" and they all fell backward to the ground.
The LORD asked them again because they had come with clubs and weapons as if they were coming to destroy a city and it was just Him who they wanted hung up on a post at this moment.

The LORD identified Himself as Jesus of Nazareth the one who had been " stirring up the people" and told them to let the other men there alone and invited them to do what they came for, which is lay hold of Him and take Him to Pilate.

As the Roman soldiers stepped forward to seize Jesus one of those who walked with Jesus named Simon Peter drew his sword striking the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.

Jesus spoke to the one who pulled his weapon and struck the man removing his ear, saying, "Put that sword away back into it's place: for all who take up the sword shall perish with the sword."

Many people believe that it's their duty to draw the sword and cut the ears off of folks all in the Name of Jesus.

This is the number one lust of man to retaliate and justify himself and it demonstrates a lack of faith in God.

I will always exalt Christ because it will not be what I say that will make you do or live a righteous life.
I have no desire for any to follow me and I do not want anyone to do anything because I said so.

My prayer is that The Words of Christ be magnified so that you hear what He has said, believe Him and follow Him.

LISTEN to the LORD while you still have ears to hear because if cutting the ears off of men is the seed that you are sowing it will be the harvest that you will be reaping.

The LORD asked them, "Do you think that I cannot call on my Father, and He will not immediately give to me more than 12 legions of angels?"

The LORD didn't need body guards.
The LORD didn't need to retaliate or justify His self.
Anyone who can call down 12 legions of angels needs not fear what man can do to Him.

The LORD asked of His students, If I puts a stop to this arrest how could what is written in the scriptures be fulfilled?

The account in the gospel of Luke records that the LORD touched the injured man's ear, and healed him.
The LORD no doubt wanted that man to hear the gospel and have the opportunity to be saved.
While some don't mind removing your ability to hear, God wants you to hear and understand what He is saying above all opinion.

It wasn't a David who was nailed to a cross for us, It wasn't Moses or even Abraham.
It wasn't Isaiah , Elisha, Elijah or Daniel, nor Jeremiah, Job or Joseph.
All of these men pointed to Christ.

There have been no TV personalities or movie stars who have been crucified, died, buried rose and now live for you.

There has been none who have given nor written and sold more than the Words of Jesus have.

So rather than exalt the credibility of anyone because none could match that of Christ.
Hear what He has said.
It is His Word that leads and guides.

I challenge you to see what will happen if you begin to listen to The LORD Jesus.

Because this is how faith comes by hearing and understanding THE WORD.
In the beginning was the Word, and The Word was with God, and The Word was God.
All things were made by Him; (not Sally or Bob) and without Him not anything that was made was made.

In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shined in darkness and darkness comprehended it not.

He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.
The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, ( and we beheld His Glory, as The Glory of The Only Begotten of The Father,) full of grace and truth.

You see what John did?
And Paul and Peter and Timothy and Luke and all of The Disciples of Jesus, they magnified the credibility of Christ!

Because these men didn't want you following them, they wanted us following Jesus.
They wanted us to rely on Christ.

You don't have to slam a man's face down into water and force him to drink, if you lead a thirsty man to water, God will do the rest.

HE WHO HAS AN EAR TO HEAR.

LOVE Y'ALL :)

  1. Oh My LORD!
Did I say, "If I puts a stop to this?"

    Pray for me.
