FELLOWSHIP OF PRAYER

THANK YOU LORD!

1Thessalonians 5:17 says to pray without ceasing.

Why do we pray?

Because the prayers of the righteous are effective and they make great power available.

The Bible teaches that whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
This is why I am adamant about the truth of what Jesus said above the opinion of men.
Because unless Jesus said it, it lacks merit.

Praying is what we do when we have placed our trust in the LORD Jesus Christ.
The Bible teaches us that we have an advocate In Christ Jesus who sits at the right hand of God and speaks to The Father in our defense.

The Lord told us that we would have trouble in this world but to be of good cheer because He had overcome this world and the trouble that it brings.
So we are not to be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present our requests to God.
And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus.

The Lord Jesus Himself said, Where two or three of us who have placed our complete trust in Christ are gathered together in His Name, there HE is in the midst of us.
This is the fellowship of believers.

I remember before I understood this I offered to pray for a someone who didn't believe in my God although she had no faith in a true and living God and had accepted the opinion of the world.
My heart was to help her in the midst of turmoil when I should have sat down and waited for her to grieve and prayed to the Lord on my own for her.

The malice in her heart along with the malice of others came against me with wicked and evil intentions that God put a halt to.

I understand now that no power was available for that woman because she was against the God of miracles and relied totally on an entity that had no power to heal, save, set free or deliver.

I was the only believer in the situation and that is why when I was attacked for my faith I was the only one delivered.
The woman has long been forgiven by me for her actions and there have been many like this woman since in my life, who because of prayer and the Words of my Lord have been forgiven.

Blessings to those who persecute me and may love abound to them, because Jesus is my Lord.
Because no relationship or lack there of will distract me from doing what God told me to do, which is believe Him, Forgive others and Pray.

The LORD Jesus Christ prayed always and as we follow Him, prayer is not only what we do but who we are.

We don't pray just because it seems the right thing to do at the time nor is prayer the simple fulfilling of a religious duty.
Luke 18:10-14; Matthew 6:1-14

Prayer is proof that we rely on hearing from The God of Heaven and earth as well as His interceding hand moving on behalf of any situation, it's not blowing smoke to be noticed of men.

So pray for one another, pray for the leaders all over this earth and locally.
Pray that the LORD'S Will be done in earth as it is in heaven.
Pray that utterance be given that leads men to truth and righteousness In Christ Jesus.
Pray to be delivered from evil.
Pray that men come into the true knowledge of God.
Pray that people hear what Christ has said.

And somewhere in there please pray for me.
