THANK YOU FATHER!
As Jesus taught there were instances where the teachers of the law and Pharisees would come and engage The Lord with questions about the law.
They liked to do this publicly with the assumption that they could somehow prove Jesus to be false.
In John chapter eight there is recorded such a time as described above.
The Lord was teaching and along came those who professed to be devout keepers of the law.
There was a crowd and they brought a woman who had been caught in the act of adultery and set her before the Lord.
They said to The Lord, "This woman was caught in the very act of adultery!"
Now Moses in the law commanded us, that her type should be stoned to death.
What do you say?
It is recorded that they did this simply to challenge The Lord's judgment, and it is also recorded that He bent down and began to write in the dirt as if He didn't hear them.
I believe that He was listening to the Father.
My question is, Where in the helicopter was the man who she was caught with, where was the brick for him?
And most of you know what The Lord said when He stood up because it has been misused and misinterpreted and even claimed to not have been recorded in the original text by those who support capital punishment.
But it is written that Christ said,
"He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her."
That is so powerful and it is something that we should all take into consideration on a daily basis.
I don't mean where you see injustice keep your mouth closed because Jesus Himself didn't do that.
The Lord continually spoke against injustice.
We are not required to hook up to twisted just because it professes to be Christian, Christ is more than a profession, confession and claim.
I mean really examine and acknowledge where we are not perfect but that perfection is not an excuse for blocking anyone's rights.
Some people believe that God's grace simply allows us to do whatever and He never turns His back on us.
The truth is God doesn't turn His back it is us who turn our back on Him by not hearing His Son above all else.
But the Goodness, Grace and Mercy of God is that He allows us the privilege and ability to see our own error and acknowledge it.
Because without acknowledgment there will be no change.
This is something that the first man and woman failed to do was acknowledge their own individual part in the fall.
They were more interested in pointing out who brought the idea to not listen to the Father to each of them than acknowledging their own part.
Look at the context and the motive in which this woman caught in sin was being brought before the Lord, it wasn't about her.
It is written that her sin was simply used to challenge Jesus.
This is not about adultery being wrong or right, that is another lesson.
Like deciding to divorce your spouse because they are ill is ridiculous and should be corrected.
And this is not me indirectly telling some story about myself. PLEASE!
This is about how ultimate vengeance, judgment of righteousness and condemnation belong to the Lord.
It would do every man good to keep this at the forefront of his thoughts especially when they believe that they have succeeded in wicked practices.
It would be wise to judge every thing by Christ teachings.
Listen.
Don't stop preaching truth and don't stop holding people accountable for breaking laws, but unless you are protecting your own life, you don't have the right to euthanize, kill by lethal injection, firing squad, hanging, lynching, or any other way, if you hold up signs against abortion and you support capital punishment, you are nothing more than unstable and hypocritical.
It is all about Jesus.
Understand that what doesn't belong to me, any preacher, any judge, any leader, or any crowd is the power to condemn into hell.
The ministers of God spoken of in Romans 13 are reaping angels not men.
Peter was corrected by The Lord for cutting the ear of a soldier who tried to seize the Lord and while you hoop and poke your chest out believing that it was brave and exactly what you would do, Christ told Peter if he was to live by the sword that would be how he would die.
You want to live by Christ and die by Christ.
He who has ears...
