EVE COMPLEX
THANK YOU FATHER!
This is dedicated to my auntie Chan.
This is something that I hold as a life guide for my self.
I believe that there is no way for you to know where you are going unless you know where you come from.
I believe that history is key to all future development.
So I look at history as a guide and a light.
I'm not overly zealous because zeal, hype, charisma and momentum are temporary and flicker out and zeal with no understanding burns out even quicker.
I am interested in all history.
Our country, our culture, my culture, the history of women, black women and my belief in Christ Jesus.
Particularly what the Bible says about how we came to be, I draw from The Holy Spirit as He reveals my connection to Eve the first woman.
Many things can be said about Eve and have been said.
Some have believed that it is only a woman's duty to submit because of Eve, when both man and woman are to submit to one another and in unity submit to God.
Some believe that if you want something and a woman has it, all you have to do is charm that woman and she will open right up and give it to you, simply because it is believed that all women share the same nature of the first one.
Some cultures developed the belief that women should not be heads of government because of Eve.
After all Adam did put the blame on Eve, didn't he?
I for one don't blame Eve, I don't blame Adam either.
I have come to learn from both of them.
This is a new way that I have learned from the Word of God on how to adapt to changes and rearranges that come about as a result of someone else's poor choices.
The are so many people in our lives and on the outskirts of them that can make choices, do things, or say things that have great potential to directly or indirectly affect our lives.
So what do we do?
Listen.
Understand that if God hasn't given us anything else aside from His Son, that He gave us the ability to choose.
The ability to choose.
Some folk call it free will.
We actually have the right to not get involved with certain things or certain people.
We actually have the right to choose who we would like to spend our precious time, energy, and thoughts with.
It's just like we vote everyday all day.
It's a liberty endued us by God.
An inalienable right.
Don't allow someone to make you feel like you don't have a choice or an alternative or that you don't already have what it takes to get things done that need to be done.
Don't allow anyone to question your potential or press your decision because they are running out of time.
The serpent told Eve that she would not lose and that she would actually gain, yet that was not the case.
As a woman this a message for women in personal dealings.
Look at the temptation of Eve in Genesis 3.
Love Y'all :)
