THANKING GOD FOR HIS HELP.
THANKING GOD FOR LOVING ME.
THANKING GOD FOR HIS FAVOUR.
Paul and Barnabas had preached the gospel at Antioch and the people received the gospel.
Acts 13:43
As Paul and Barnabas were leaving the temple, the people invited them to speak further about these things on the next Sabbath.
When service let out many of the Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who talked with them and urged them to continue in the grace of God.
Paul and Barnabas preached the gospel and men who had lived by the tradition of Judaism received it.
They lived and were raised to follow Moses' law but when the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was presented to them, they received it.
The Apostle Paul encouraged them to continue in the grace of God.
Why would we have to tell someone to continue in the grace of God?
Because people depart from the grace of God on a daily basis through their decision making and through their lack of knowledge.
Correction is a good thing because it is a manifestation and demonstration of the love of God.
As you read this blog keep an open heart and hear from God and know what He said.
It's the Holy Spirit that God has given us to teach us and beyond this page you can hear what God is saying through His Word.
Faith is where the Will of God is known and if the Will of God is not known, appreciated or acknowledged we don't have the building blocks to receive.
To receive what?
To receive all that God has for us to receive.
First and foremost salvation.
When we don't open up our hearts to the Spirit of God through His Word but we begin to take on the opinions of our society above the Bible we are not in God's Will.
Outside of His Will is not the place to be.
There are so many of us who are "saved" but so many of us who are so far out of the Will of God because we refuse to listen to the Lord.
God wants us going in the right direction.
God wants us to have the desires of our hearts but not through following the opinion and being fans of the world system.
God loves us and that is why He doesn't spare the rod.
We want to fall all out and faint when we are corrected.
Without correction we will not follow life but death.
Meekness is the way to instruct so that the teacher doesn't fall into condemnation.
There is nothing that cancels out the need for correction.
Correction is necessary and it's emergent right now.
We live in a time where if you refuse to take instruction or be corrected you will lose your life, peace, health and mind quickly.
People will invade your privacy and try and justify it.
God will not kick the door in to your heart, He will knock and has to be invited in.
People will pry but God wants to save us from the pressure of the enemy.
If you are bleeding to death I have to put pressure on the artery to stop the bleeding.
It may not feel good, it might sting but in the long run it will save you.
This is how correction is.
You might not like what I have to say and that is fine because just like with God He gives us a choice to either receive or reject.
None of us want to be corrected.
None of us want to ever believe that what we are doing or saying might be wrong.
But because none of us is perfect we have to rely on what is perfect.
God and His instruction, all of His ways are perfect.
God knows more than our mommas, our daddies, our aunties and uncles, our spouses, co workers and our friends.
When we believe that we know more than God we are operating in pride.
And if this is the way that we continue to think, we will never change, repent or acknowledge the truth.
Without acknowledging truth we stay bound because God says that it is the truth that makes us free.
Without truth success is not what we will have.
Millions in the bank account alone will not mean success.
An heiress to millions took her own life this past year so success is not found in a bank book alone.
Success is in understanding God's Will and getting in it and staying in it so that when He blesses us we can handle the blessing and manage our spirit, body, family, relationships and our business correctly.
You can go to church 3 times a week for 30 years and still be confused and out of God's will.
I know people like this.
I listened to a man say yesterday that a wife is a servant but a husband is not.
This man has been taught from God's Word that a wife is not a servant but a partner and a help meet, yet he chooses to believe that his wife is his personal slave.
He has refused to receive the instruction of the Lord.
That wife is about to pack up and leave him.
I listened to a homosexual man say, it is his right to marry another man. He said this because he refuses to acknowledge or appreciate what God has established is right.
This man feels that it is nobodies business what he does in his bedroom, he is correct but it's God's business when he has chosen to sin against God.
This young man has refused to acknowledge or appreciate God's mercy.
This young man is suffering in his body right now with sickness brought on by his life choice.
I listened to a woman say that she is an exotic dancer and what she is doing ain't hurting nobody but she is laying in a bed with tubes coming out her nose because of injuries she received as a result of some man beating her because she pretended to admire him for money.
Her choice hurt her.
I spoke with a woman who decided that she just isn't going to pay her bills, she is driving a very nice car in her parents name, she has a beautiful home filled with expensive furniture, and a child who will need tuition in 2 years. But she will not stop driving her BMW truck, she will only carry the latest Coach bag, she will not stop having her hair done once a week, she will not give up her IPhone, she has no savings and she believes that her 403 B is all that she will need when she retires.
She has no plan.
So guess what? They are garnishing her check and she is struggling to keep her house.
God's mercy is shown in His correction.
The Father could leave us all out here to be caught up in the traps of the enemy but He gives us instruction.
So many of us are confused about the mercy of God.
His long suffering is awesome, His mercy endures forever and His Word teaches that He will not always strive with mankind.
So many of us believe that we can just do and say what we want to do and God will understand.
But that is not what His Word says.
Romans 8:1-27
So many of us try to justify doing things that God didn't instruct us to do.
That is confusion.
Repent
1John 1:9 says that if we acknowledge our sin by confessing it to God He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
There is a new television show that traces the ancestry of people and it's called "Do you know who you are?"
It's a question that I want to ask all Christians.
A born again believer can trace his or her lineage all the way back to Adam for free.
Not Africa, not Ireland, not England, but the Garden.
Not a black church or a black Jesus or a heaven filled with a predetermined number.
Do you know who you are?
Fearfully and wonderfully made in the image and likeness of God.
Let's look at our choices today and see which ones are like God.
Being deceitful, is that like God?
Wasting time, is that like God?
Being foul, is that like God?
Operating in pride, is that like God?
Putting our heads in the sand.
Is that like God?
God is going to want to know what you did with this Word that you have received today.
He's going to ask you one day when you stand before Him, did you acknowledge those words?
Did you take time to appreciate those words?
Did you put those words to work in your life, because that was my mercy.
Just think about it today.
Be faithful with what you have.
John 8:31,32: John15:9
Do we really know who we are?
Love Y'all
