DAY BY DAY

THANK YOU FATHER.

...though our outward man perish, yet our inward man is renewed day by day.
2 Corinthians 4:16b

The inward man, the spirit in us that is connected to God.
After you come to Christ and receive forgiveness you are not done.

You have given your self to learn of Him and be led of Him.
Now you learn to put Him on.
In knowledge and in Spirit.

You start "Fresh" like Tye Tribbett would say.

You now begin to go forward in The LORD.
A renovation is not instant, walls have to be torn down and pipes gutted out and new foundations have to be erected.

Day by Day.

We learn not to grieve the Holy Spirit that dwells within us and this helps us to walk in by the Spirit of God and not the flesh of man.

Meditate Ephesians chapters 4 and 5.

I pray a prayer modeled after king David's prayer in Psalm 51.
David acknowledged his sin and that his sin was against God, which is the beginning of forgiveness.
He cried to the Lord to give him wisdom and to cleanse him from all wrong doing.

David asked the Father to create in him a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within him.

David asked the LORD to not cast him away from His presence, and not to take His Holy Spirit away from him.

David asked God to restore to him the joy of his salvation and uphold him with His free Spirit.

It's more than being sorry or being called on the carpet.
David acknowledged that there is a God, a God who had blessed him, a God who had been with him when he should have been killed by lions, bears, giants.

A God who blessed David to reign in areas where no one else believed that he could.
A God who he had to throw himself at His feet asking for mercy.
A God who could restore him to the place of peace and joy that he had before he sinned against Him.

So David didn't go to the prophets and he didn't go to his family, he didn't go to talk show hosts.
He went to The God who had blessed Him and asked to be forgiven and to be renewed.

To start fresh.

And that is what we all have been given, God's Mercy and His undeserved Favour In His Son.

You know what sin is because the law has been given and the Word has been given to reveal it to you.
You know that sin is against God.

You know that you can lay it down and pick up the cross and be forgiven.
1John 1:9
You know that at the point of believing and confession of Christ, you are saved.
Romans 10:8,9,10

Now you know that it is day by day that you are changed into the image that God created you to be.

Come to the LORD.

Isaiah 40:28-31
Ephesians chapters 4 and 5

LOVE Y'ALL :)
