THANK YOU FATHER.
Saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and belief in the truth.
I'm just talking this morning based on a dream I had last night.
Too often we as people spend most of our time trying to convince others that we have improved, arrived, we are the coolest or that what we do is making more of a difference than someone else.
Hang out with us!
I am not looking for folks to hang out with.
I love y'all and I appreciate you and will be hanging out with some of you all in the future if the Lord tarries His coming, but I am not looking for a ministry, because God placed one in me by administering these words through me and prayer.
I am not looking for a job because God gave me one of those too.
1 Thessalonians 4:11,12
2 Thessalonians 3:6-11
I am not looking for people to follow me because what that does is draw the eye and focus of the lost people to depend on me.
The Lord desires that we depend on Him, so that all glory goes to Him.
I'm not talking about discounting people all together and not being able to trust to a certain degree your brothers and sisters in the body of Christ.
I'm talking about knowing The Father and who you are In Him and what He told you to do.
We all are a part of this body and not all of us have the same assignment.
Keep your hope in the Lord.
I see a strong arrogance that is not faith based and not a humility in some of the people.
If I see it, God sees it and you can search the scriptures and see what history shows is the outcome of a person with that type of heart attitude, learn about this so that you can avoid that attitude.
Everybody wants to lead and that road is wide, not many want to listen, hearing is the narrow road.
Many fervently build a case for why people should fellowship with us. Saying we are great people who have a structured plan and experience, a better track record a wider outreach, association and more knowledge than the next.
That may be true but without adding what The Word suggests to our faith we are just noise.
Some believe instead of truly adding to our faith if we just say that we are great when we are not, it will happen.
It's not going to happen just because we say it with an indignant tone.
This is why we have to add to our faith, goodness.
We as individuals have to diligently and carefully consider our own behaviour.
Being careful to supply to our faith goodness, knowledge and self control.
This is what faith with works is.
Faith without these things is dead.
God has given us everything that pertains to life and godliness through His Spirit.
Galatians 5:22
And when we know this we will work diligently to present brotherly kindness with our gift of faith.
This is a pure conscience, a good heart and a sincere faith.
What good is it for a man to say that he has faith and then behave like a heathen, like one lost and without Christ filled with hatred, hostility and vengeance?
Faith is not simply a blind leap.
You can't show me genuine faith apart from gentleness, meekness, or temperance.
So many have turned aside to meaningless talk and devoted their efforts to defending them selves and not lifting the healing, redemptive and restoring power of Christ on the cross and Christ risen to the lost.
It's like a high school sitcom.
It's like Christian life has become a great big marketing campaign.
Don't ever take my blog as being the be all end all, you take the Word of God and learn it in it's proper context.
If I mention a book or a method in this blog I am not saying follow the author.
Because Christians have opinions too.
We are not perfect contrary to popular belief, but God is perfect.
I pray that you all have the peace and true knowledge of The Lord and Father in your soul.
I don't want you to get lazy about the Lord.
When I say lazy I don't mean get tied down with activities.
I mean don't get so lax as to not know God and what He has said for your self.
This is sanctifying work.
Add goodness and self control to it and walk by faith.
Colossians 3:12-17
LOVE Y'ALL :)
