WE CAN'T ESCAPE HISTORY

THANK YOU FATHER.

Abraham Lincoln said, " We can't escape history."

I believe that he said that so that we are sure to remember the times gone by and that we also be sure to understand that what we do today will be history tomorrow.

As I listen to some teaching today on how we should look to Israel as an example of how God operates, I realize that what Lincoln said was true, we can't escape history.

As a woman who places her faith in the historical events and in the birth, persecution, passion, death, burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, I can't forget history.

It is my daily meditation and one that I wish not to escape nor forget.

I study over President Lincoln's writings and his speeches and The LORD lead me to his House divided speech in particular.
This speech was given by Mr. Lincoln in Springfield, Illinois June 16, 1858.

As the then president spoke he reference the LORD Jesus in his speech, this shows that he was a man that was led by the Words of our LORD.

I opened the book as the Father instructed me and began to study Matthew chapter 12, Mark chapter 3 and and Luke chapter 11 where men had suggested that the Lord's power to cast out demons had come from demons.

So I asked the LORD, "Show me Father where does this ties in to what president Lincoln was trying to get across to the people?"

And He did.

The Lord Jesus had preached to the people who would listen teaching them that if you ask the Father that He would give, the LORD was building the faith of the people around Him by reflecting and demonstrating the true nature of God The Father.

The LORD Jesus told the people that The Father would give The Holy Spirit to those who would ask Him. Luke 11:13
Not a big deal not a special tutor, Jesus said all you have to do is believe and ask God for The Holy Spirit and The Father would give Him to you.
Not a big production, didn't need a licence to get The Holy Spirit all you have to do is go to The Father and ask.

Well The LORD Jesus went on to demonstrate The Power of The Holy Spirit by casting out demons.

The way that it's described in Matthew 12:22 is that the person who was bound had been hindered by the devil and this prohibited the person from speaking, understanding and seeing, but when The Power of The Holy Ghost came upon the person the devil was cast out and the person began to speak, see and understand and the people wondered how that was.

The were in awe because none of the critics of the LORD had done anything like that before.

Now there were some who said that Jesus cast out the devils by the power of satan beelzebub the chief of the devils.
These ignorant men were saying that satan had the same power and authority as The Holy Spirit of God.
That's blasphemy.
Listen and understand.

Because in John 10:10 Jesus says, "The thief cometh not but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

demons don't heal.
demons don't set people free.
demons don't bring truth.

demons come to put the yoke on the neck of men.

The Holy Spirit and the power of God come to break the yoke off.

Can you hear me now?

This is the sin that is not forgiven when a man takes what God has done and attributes Gods good works by the power of His Holy Spirit to the power and spirit of darkness.
Matthew 12:31,32

Lincoln understood this and what the president wanted was to maintain the unity and to give equal opportunity to all men.
One man running with a yoke on his neck will have a hard time running an equal race against one who has no yoke.

The Lord Jesus goes on to confront these folks about their accusation.
Our LORD asks his accusers, "If I cast out devils by beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out?

They hadn't set anyone free, they hadn't removed the yoke off anyone, they hadn't cast anything out.
That's why they were amazed at what they saw when the Power of The Holy Ghost moved before their eyes, they didn't understand it so they wouldn't receive it at God.

Christ Jesus is The Kingdom of God and He had come before them and because they didn't know God they made something up that would justify their lack of power.

The LORD said to them, " When a strong man armed heavily guards his palace with his own weapons, his goods are in peace.

But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, one with greater power and overcomes him, He will take from him all of his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

When you are trusting in something other than Christ Jesus The Holy Spirit and Power of God, you are leaning to your own armour.
That's what those men were doing.

But One greater came and Christ is His Name, He is the strong man and His Word will strip you of your armour wherein you have trusted.

King David understood this when he went up against Goliath, because King David was a man after God's heart and spirit.
The LORD went on to say,"He that is not with me is against me: and he that gatthereth not with me scattereth.

Now you can understand this by The Power of The Holy Spirit revealing what Christ has said and the yoke can be broken and you can go on to live for Christ for real.
Walking in His power and bringing folks with you.

Or you can understand this by the power of God and the yoke be broken and you can go on leaning on your own armour and seven more ignorant, blinding and heavy spirits will come and take up residence in your life.

And you can have a surface abundance or you can have The Power of God leading you and guiding you in the way that you should go.

Blessed are they that hear the Word Of God and keep it.

What did The Father say?
This is how faith comes.
We can't escape history because we are making it daily.
