THANK YOU FATHER.
The Apostle Paul said that he was a free man yet he made himself a slave to everyone in order to win as many as possible.
Yet Paul never used his freedom as a means to manipulate and dominate men.
The old man Saul on the road to Damascus did that, Jesus had taught Paul that in order to follow Him those tactics were not used.
So following after The LORD, Paul took it upon himself to not charge a fee or bring condemnation to any man in order that the man hear the gospel.
So when he took the gospel to the whole world he wouldn't have just stopped in Rochester Hills, he would have come to Detroit too.
What a concept.
It came from God, John 3:16,17
Now when Paul says, To the weak I became weak, to win the weak.
It means that he didn't put on aires.
Jesus had become weak in order to win us, He put on flesh like we have.
God in the likeness of a man.
He came down from heaven in order to relate to our suffering.
He came down to walk among the people and see why women like the woman at the well had chosen to be with many men.
Why men hadn't walked or opened their eyes.
Because they hadn't been forgiven.
So there was no yelling at folks and saying they don't pray enough, once they were forgiven, He simply taught to make prayer a part of your everyday living.
How important it is to commune and abide with God and to hear Him continually.
Jesus never taught that fasting was mandatory for a relationship with God.
He taught of the power that manifests with being able to focus on the Father above all things.
Learn of Christ.
Paul taught, Food doesn't bring us closer to God, we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do.
The Christ didn't come to please all men but to save all men.
So as you look at people who use Christ as their excuse to seek their own good and ignore the good of others understand this, they are not following the example of Christ.
He came for our good and not His own.
Those who use the church and scripture as a means exclude or block men from living a life promised by God don't follow Christ.
Hitler did this, he manipulated the church and bullied a nation with his anti-democratic and anti-Semitic views.
The church served Hitler and not the community.
Hitler put out propaganda that made Jewish people immoral in the minds of many.
While claiming Christ Hitler was not being all things to all people, he was being Fuhrer (leader).
Hitler destroyed Germany's constitution by excluding a percentage of it's people, it's Jewish citizen's.
Don't allow that to happen in your country.
I don't understand how any man or woman can call them selves a Christian and have no resolve about excluding people from their right to live and have opportunity in this earth.
Our constitution has promised to promote general welfare.
General means diffuse, widespread, universal, affecting all of the people, not just 2%.
And when anyone on purpose sets out on a campaign of maliciousness that blocks the welfare or tries to steal or put a halt to another mans rights, they do not follow or represent Christ.
It takes more than a sheep's suit to represent Christ, what big teeth you have, and what big ears you have and what sharp claws you have...
Not big enough to box with God though.
Have you ever heard sermons or lesson's with the title "The Cost of Discipleship" or anything entitled "Cheap Grace"?
The term "Cheap Grace" came from a German theologian named Dietrich Boenhoeffer, and he coined this phrase as he refuted and attempted to defend the gospel and the church against the intrusion and wickedness that Hitler imposed upon it.
Learn about this man, he stood and died for Christ.
History is very important we need to look back at it and know it for our selves, if we do not we will be swallowed up by it repeating itself.
God's perspective is extremely clear in the Words of His Son in whom it is written He has spoken to us through Christ in these last days.
This is why it is extremely important to know Christ for your self, you have to have your own lamp with your own oil.
